Rough Draft update:

Hey everyone,
I wanted to give you an update on my book. So I sent out the first 5 chapters of my rough draft. And so far everyone is loving this book. I got some words of advice on a couple of chapters. They want me to dig deeper and open up more. This book is about my life and some of the chapters are emotional and some of the chapters are about my struggles with things. And you never know how someone will react to what you write. This is my baby and to let others read it had given me some anxiety but the feedback has been amazing. I’m working on some of the feedback as well as continuing to write the remaining chapters of my book. One thing that I’m doing that I noticed that others haven’t is I’m not worried about the word count our if all chapters are the same. Some chapters will be longer and some shorter. I have to go with my heart on this and not follow certain rules for writing. I know that some won’t agree with me and that’s okay. Welp back to writing.

Book review:

So I read the book The Four Agreements and to be honest I had never heard of this book or the author. But the concept of this book is four agreements to live by. 1. Be impeccable with your word 2. Don’t take anything personally 3. Don’t make assumptions 4. Always do your best. These are easy no brainer ways to live your life. I thought that the book was okay. I didn’t like some of the verbiages that he used to reference something, but that’s me. Overall I would give the book 3 out of 5 stars. It was an interesting book, to say the least. Have you read this book before?

Time to finish my book:

I’m what you may call a procrastinator. For some reason, I make goals about my book and I have yet to even reach any of my goals. But not anymore. I’m done not doing what I need to do to finish this book. So I have made another goal. I will need to have my rough draft done by this year and have someone lined up to read it for me so that I can make the necessary changes. I have started so many books and have yet to finish them. What am I afraid of? Failure and no one buying my books, to be honest. But how do I know any of this if I never try? How can I speak these things when I have yet to finish one book? There are so many great writers out there who are known and unknown. I want to be in that world. I want to help others and I want them to enjoy the stories that I tell. Welp, it’s time to get to work. Because by 2021 I want to have a published book. One book at a time is my focus. Has any other writer had this problem before? Any suggestions?

Book review:

I’m a huge of Terry McMillan. And let me tell you this book didn’t disappoint. Just because you get older doesn’t mean you’re life goes downhill. This book talks about love, life and true friendships. No matter what age you are keep living and loving. This book goes through life, death and learning to live again.

Book review: The kite runner

I had read this book years ago but decided to read it again. This book had my emotions all over the place. This book was powerful and touching. This book held a friendship like no other. But in the end one person felt the friendship wasn’t worth it. They lost a true friend and in the end they learned that life is to short not to do right. Going back home one last time would bring back memories and enemies once forgotten.

Book review:

This book is good for all married people. I didn’t understand what boundaries in a marriage looked like. The tools that you learn from this book will help your marriage grow. Real life tools for real life problems. Divorce is always the easy solution. But having boundaries can help prevent a divorce.

Help:

As I’m writing one of my many books, a thought acquires to me. Who will I have read and edited this book for me? Will they get or see my vision as I do? Also, should I self-publish or try to go through a publishing company? I have heard that a lot of people publish through Amazon is that a good idea? Do I need to get a scan code for my book? Do I need to copyright my book? So many questions I know. This is why I need help. Thanks in advance everyone.

Book review:

This book is based on a true story. And let me just tell you I was in shock from the beginning to the end. I have read stories based on real-life but this took a whole new approach to crazy family stories. I couldn’t believe this story but I couldn’t stop reading it either. This story makes you mad, sad, and just plain crazy. I want to tell you so much about it but trust me when I tell you this is book will not disappoint. I had to look the story up just to make sure this wasn’t a joke. Trust me this book is not for the faint at heart. There are some very disturbing things in this book. If you have read this book please let me know what you thought about it.

This book is helping my marriage:

I started reading this book called Love at last sight by Kerry & Chris Shook. My husband and I read this book before we got married and to be honest I don’t remember what’s in the book. So I decided to reread it because I wanted to know what it’s about. So the book is about 30 days to grow and deepen your closest relationships. So you read a chapter each day and at the end of the chapter, there is a challenge. The purpose of the book is that most of us have had love at first sight but what about having love at last sight. When it’s all said and done why not love until your last breath. Let me tell you this book has challenged me and got me to thinking about ways that I can better communicate, love and improve myself. I’m not a perfect wife. I have flaws on top of flaws. But I’m a work in progress. I’m working on me to better myself and those around me. I’ve been a lot happier this month. A lot of stress and burden has been lifted from me. But I need to make that last. One thing that I’m making sure I take care of is my marriage. What marriage books have helped you out?
