Book review: The Drowning

Well let me say this, this book left me puzzled. I don’t dislike this book but this book kept me on my toes. It was a page-turner but at times it was boring and just dragging on. So this book was about a young boy whose parents were going through a tough time. They decided to have him go camping so they can decide what to do about their marriage. The young boy Joey wasn’t happy about going to camp. He knew that his parents were dealing with something in their marriage. But at the camp, he befriended the counselor and he felt like things were changing. Until one day he had to go swimming in the lake. He didn’t know how to swim and the swim teacher wasn’t kind at all. His swim teacher Alex wasn’t a kind man. He wanted to make a point to Joey that he was going to swim. So he took him to the deep end and left him on a raft. Alex left Joey out there overnight. And the next morning he was gone. Years have passed and Alex is successful and Joey has come back to haunt him. Alex’s lack of care caused a lot of people harm. People died never knowing what happened to Joey. But who would want to drag the past to the future after 21 years? Well, it’s someone you would never guess.

Book review: Overcoming

This book was what I needed. We never know what someone’s journey may be when it comes to pain and purpose. Natasha gives us an inside look at her life as she navigates life. She goes from not having her mom around most of the time and living with her dad. To the challenges of teenage life and trying to figure life out. To becoming an adult and things just don’t seem to be going how you think that they should. This book is full of ups and downs and how Natasha overcame them is amazing. If you are facing anything in your life this book is very inspiring.

Book review:

So this book had me laughing and saying to myself I’m as badass. This book has given me the motivation to do and be more. Most self-help books to me are not very good. But this book knocked it out the park. So many simple things we can do to get our life on track. It’s not just about money but loving yourself and making sure to affirm yourself daily. What do you really want to do? Why are you not doing it? What are you telling yourself? Stop all the negative talk and start speaking life into yourself. This book is great better than great. It’s definitely a must read.

Book review:

I was so excited to get this book. I’ve always been curious about the mothers of three great men. But where do you start? How do you find the information that you need? I was so eager to dive into this book and I must admit I feel like these three mothers. This book is full of love and compassion for their sons. How they were raised and taught shows the type of love that they received. This book also helps me to understand that no matter what as a mother when are always teaching our children and trying to have their lives better than ours. We lose sleep and suffer because of the love that we have for them. This book shows me that not only were these three mothers exceptional mothers but they didn’t get the credit that they deserved. We have to prepare our children for the world. And unfortunately, they had to live to see their son’s death. This book is beyond amazing and so needed at a time where mothers are hardly given the credit for raising such incredible men. Thank you book browse for giving me the opportunity for this advanced reading book.

Book review:

I must say that when I received this book, I thought it was going to be just another marriage book. But it wasn’t. It told stories of couples who were dealing with some pretty difficult things. I love the honesty and truth that this book gives. I like how the couples opened up about their problems. This book helps married couples know that they are not the only ones who may be struggling with their marriage.

Book review:

At first I didn’t understand what the book was about. But then the characters and the background history started to come together. It’s a long book and it takes awhile to get to the point sometimes. I feel like this book is very relatable. In the end not a bad book just long.

Book review:

This book is great for all married couples. This is not just another relationship book. This book is hilarious and filled with so much joy and love.

Book review:

I love when I read a book that truly makes me think. A book where I can question myself and my relationship with God. This book was given to me in a time where I needed to understand God and myself more. This book touched on things that hadn’t even crossed my mind. But I wanted to know more. I would read a chapter and be changed and wanting to do better and be better. This book is what I needed.

Whoa I had the honor to read this amazing book. When I tell you it had me really look at my life and the secrets that I keep. Plus the fact that I still question God about what goes on in my life and other’s. When I tell you this is book is for young adults and adults. We all have an opportunity to get and be better.
