Book review:The other woman

Okay this book was crazy but really good. This book kept me on my toes from the moment I started reading it. So it’s about a woman who falls in love with a man. But for some reason the mother keeps involving herself in there lives. The mother makes up a lie to stop the wedding and from there it all just falls apart. What you think you know isn’t so. And when the truth comes out well let’s just say I never seen this coming. This is a twist for sure.

  1. This looks good and for some reason, the title sounds so familiar I’m not sure but was this a Netflix show, or did it turn into a movie? I feel like I’ve read this one before, but maybe not.

Have you read “The Other Black Girl” by Zakiya Dalila Harris? I’m listening to it now via audiobook through the Libby app that connects for free to your local library. It’s really good. It’s not as twisty as “The Other Woman” from the sound of your review. “The Other Black Girl” is more of a statement about culture, society, and the lack of diversity and inclusion in publishing despite all of the marketing claims to try and be inclusive. It is marked as thriller/suspense which is surprising to me because right now this book seems to be more of a cultural assessment regarding personal bias, modern racism, and the like.
