A friend of mine told me I should write about what I’m going through and how I have been affected and overcome it all. I told her I couldn’t because I already have a book I’m writing. She asked me how it’s going and I told her it’s been awhile since I worked on it. She asked me why. And I told her I’m not into it right now. And she said that’s why it’s a good time to work on this book. Because one it’s fresh and two because I’m living it right now. It’s a way to heal and release. And she was right. I already wrote out my chapter’s and will be starting my writing on this new book tomorrow. Has anyone else stopped working on one book for another?

Yes! It was similar to yours too. The latter was easier because it was about my present experiences, at that time. 🙂

I’ve been very off and on with the book I’m currently on, but it was actually helpful to take breaks because when I came back to it, I was able to look at it with fresh eyes.

That’s a very good point

If it helps, I have the beginnings of 3 books on my laptop. I’m not good at multitasking to write in all three, so my main focus is on one at the moment. When some words pop into my head for one of the other book, I go add them, but I do a solid 30 minute practice on at least one of them each day, minus the weekend. It’s a slow, yet consistent effort, but since I started focusing on the one, it’s opened up some ideas for the other two.

If you don’t mind me asking would this be your first book?

No I’m working on my first book. Well was working on it. So I guess you can say that this would be the second book.
