Calling all authors and writers. I’m curious about something. So I want to pose several questions to you. The first question is what software or site do you enjoy using when your writing. One example would be Grammarly. Also when you get ready to write your book what site do you use the most to make it easier for you? As you all know I’m writing my book and the one thing that I’m doing is taking my time. I have noticed that when I rush my writing that things don’t always come out the best way. I know people make goals to have their books completed by a certain time. But I feel like for me since this will be the first book I want to take my time and enjoy the process.
I am veeeery veeeeery basic in my choices – no fancy software or sites get used when I’m writing. I just use Word and (if ideas are overflowing) maybe Trello as an ideaboard to keep track of the things I still wanna add.

I’m very basic to. Just trying to figure out if maybe I’m odd by being basic. Glad to see I’m not.

I’ve never set deadlines for my own writing. I’m a big fan of Grammarly, since I’m useless at proofreading my own work.

Same here I use grammarly.

Google docs for me and Grammarly. I keep it simple. π Maybe jot ideas down in a notebook.
Speaking of writing by hand, It forces you to slow down. The only problem would be transferring everything to the computer at some point. π you donβt have to use all the time but if you feel like you need to rush, itβll stop you from doing that.

Lol. Oh no! You can do it! Iβve been in that position and while it may take some time to transfer everything over, itβs actually a good thing! It forces you to really look at your words, making it easier to self edit. Youβre already looking for ways to clarify and tighten your work so you donβt have to type as much. π

I don’t have any specific programs. I just use good ole fashion Word. I would like to shamelessly plug my editing services, though. It’s called Writing Endeavors (writingendeavors.org) when you’re ready π

I’m in the process of writing my first book. I have just used MS word and Adobe Indesign. I may check out Grammarly… as I’ve never heard of it.
