Let me just rant a little bit. One thing about me is that I keep it real. This blog is about growth and I tell about what’s happening with me. I love feedback and comments. Except when people email me about me being too personal and honest about my life. Well, this is my blog and I will always be honest. If you don’t like it then please don’t read my blog. I know that others are dealing with or have dealt with what I’m going through or went through. I love it when people encourage me, tell me their stories, and just understand. I understand that for some people this may seem weird or not necessary but as I said this is my blog. I want to have a conversation with the readers. If my life and truth are too much for you to handle then please don’t read my blog. I just needed to get this out. Have a great day.
It baffles me when people complain about how you express yourself on your own work. If you don’t like what is written, move on to the next blog. 🙄

Well said. I think blogs like yours is important so that people know that they are not alone in what they feel or experience.

Emails like that are exactly why my family doesn’t know about my blog. How difficult is it for these people to just move along? It takes less energy to close a browser tab than to compose an email.

In general I find it so bizarre that anyone would get in touch with a blogger and tell them that they should do things differently on their blog. What reasonable person would think they have a right to dictate what happens on someone else’s blog? I just don’t understand people.

I know. It was a long drawn out email. She felt like I was to personal in my blogs.

I’ve been blogging for nearly 20 years. The amount of people who are think they are entitled to have some say in another person’s content has always been wild. It’s worse now, where we’re constantly connected to the internet. We live in a culture of “on demand” content, and I think a lot of people think that extends to other people’s writings.

Ugh! I’m sorry this happened to you. Everyone is a critic. I think it’s important that we write our thoughts and feeling. I know writing is very therapeutic for me, and it helps when I read the words of others who are going through similar issues. It helps us not feel so alone. ❤ Thank you for baring your soul and sticking to your guns. As you said it is YOUR blog after all!

I think you should keep doing you and not give a toss to what people may think you’re doing ‘wrong’ on your blog. It’s your blog, you do it how you want!

It’s your heart, and that’s what you’re here to share. Personal, intimate, a poem, or a muse. How a heart truly be authentic, if it’s not your truth! Share your heart, God bless!
