This is not okay:

Okay, so I’m just trying to understand here. Please don’t take this the wrong way. So the president of the United States is encouraging people to protest in their states so that the country can reopen??? Why is this okay? I thought people’s lives mattered? I’m truly confused right now? This is not okay, Mr. President you are supposed to be setting an example for people to follow and I’m sorry but this isn’t okay. You may not care if people get this virus and die but I do. Am I the only person who feels this is wrong?

  1. It’s totally irresponsible. Regardless of one’s political leanings, this is a public health emergency. People are dying. It’s not the time for any politician to be going against what public health officials are saying.

  2. No, you are not wrong. He actually stated that it’s alright if many Americans die as long we we can rescue the economy. So basically our president cares more about wealth and financial status than human lives! I am baffled as to how many people still support him!!!!

  3. That president of a dickhead you unfortunately have, it doesn’t surprise me he is is behaving like this. He is just another hitler in my eyes. He has been ever since he became president.

  4. I work in healthcare. My coworker’s grandmother died last night of corona. I’ve lost at least 3 patients in the last 3 weeks. More than that are under quarantine, and that’s just in my slow pharmacy and not something larger like a doctor’s office or hospital. My area, while not the hot zone NYC has been, is starting to become one of the newest problem area.

So no, it’s not a terrible thing to want people to stay home. I want this over, and lives are worth more than money. The economy’s still going to suck if there’s no one alive.
