A Letter To My Daughter:

Ever since you were born I have been dreading this moment. The moment when you will leave the nest and fly on your own. I know that you have one more year and then off to college. But I feel like I’m losing my baby. I have seen you grow in ways you can’t imagine. The feistiness and spunk you have let’s me know that you are destined for greatness. I remember when I was helping your brother learn his address and how you picked it up immediately. You’re so smart, beautiful and talented. I can’t believe God blessed me to be your mom. I have seen you handle things with grace and love. I have seen you cry and I have prayed that God will take whatever pain that you have away. I know that life isn’t always going to be easy and yes people will doubt you but know God didn’t make any mistakes when he crafted your life. I know you have had some hurdles along the way and doubted your abilities, I know that people have let you down and walked away. But you have managed to keep your head held high. I know you’re looking forward to senior year, and well I am too. You might see more tears from me, and me making sure you are okay. But know that my tears are tears of joy and not sadness, know that when you go out in this world that I will always be here for you. You will never be alone. I know that you will be okay, I’ve known it ever since you were born. Your independence was known the day you were born. You were ready to hit the ground running. You make me so proud. I’m only hard on you because I see your potential and other’s do too. I know that greatness is upon you. God has some amazing things planned for your life and I can’t wait to witness your greatness. Baby girl know that when storms come in your life, that you can call on the one who calms the sea. Good things are happening in your life. I see God hand at work in your life. Don’t ever doubt yourself and the talent that you have. Know that you are loved and cared for. To say I’m proud of you is an understatement. I love you more than you will ever know. I can’t wait to see you change the world.
